Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AG Quick Bite ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our mobile app, our website http://localhost:3000, and our in-store ordering services (together, the "Services").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — name, mobile number, e-mail address and, if you choose, date of birth and anniversary (used for birthday offers).
- Delivery details — delivery addresses, house / flat number, landmark and delivery instructions.
- Order details — items ordered, special requests, order type (delivery, pickup, dine-in), coupon codes and any ratings or reviews you leave.
- Support messages — chats, calls and e-mails you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Location — with your permission, your device's precise location to find the nearest branch, fill in your address and estimate delivery time and fees. You can turn this off in your device settings and type your address instead.
- Device and app information — device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address and a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send order updates.
- Usage information — screens viewed, items viewed or added to the cart, searches, and app performance / crash data, used to improve the app and show relevant items and offers.
- Cookies and similar technologies on our website — see our Cookie Policy.
Payment information
Card and wallet payments are processed by our licensed payment partners (such as PayFast). Your full card number, CVV and wallet PIN are entered on the payment partner's secure page and are never stored by us. We only receive the payment result, amount, transaction reference and payment method.
Sign-in with third parties
If you sign in with your phone number (one-time password) or with Google, we receive your verified phone number, or your name, e-mail address and profile picture from that provider. We never receive your Google password.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and verify your phone number.
- To take, prepare, deliver and track your orders and to contact you about them.
- To process payments and refunds and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To issue invoices and report sales to the tax authorities as required by law (for example FBR or the provincial revenue authority).
- To send service messages (order status, receipts) and — if you allow it — offers, new items and reminders by push notification, SMS or e-mail. You can turn marketing messages off at any time in the app (Account → Notifications) or by contacting us.
- To personalise the app (for example "Picked for you" items) and to measure and improve our Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights and the safety of our customers and staff.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our branches and delivery riders — your name, phone number and delivery address, so your order can be prepared and delivered.
- Service providers who work for us under confidentiality obligations: payment processors, cloud hosting, SMS / OTP and e-mail providers, Google Firebase (sign-in, notifications, crash reports) and Google Maps (addresses and location).
- Analytics and advertising partners on our website and app (such as Google, Meta and TikTok), to measure visits and the performance of our ads. They receive device identifiers and events (for example "purchase"), and contact details only in hashed (encrypted) form.
- Delivery platforms, when you order through them, under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities — tax authorities for invoice reporting, and courts or law enforcement when the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged, under this same policy.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data — while your account is active. When you delete your account it is removed within 7 days (see Delete your account).
- Order, invoice and payment records — for the period required by tax and accounting laws, then deleted. After account deletion these records are no longer linked to your profile.
- Marketing and analytics data — up to 26 months.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — view and edit your profile and addresses in the app at any time.
- Deletion — delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account) or on our website at http://localhost:3000/delete-account.
- Marketing — turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings; unsubscribe from e-mails with the link in each e-mail.
- Location — withdraw location permission in your device settings at any time.
6. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS), access controls, encrypted storage of passwords and secrets, and regular reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
7. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, notify you in the app.
